Our approach

Through desk research, readership surveys and interviews with Fellows, we gained an understanding of the best platforms on which to reach them. We built on that with the RSA team and collaborated to create a structured, creative and insight-driven campaign strategy that would ensure cohesion between print and digital while honouring the Journal’s historical depth and vision.

We instituted editorial reviews across the RSA’s teams to adapt the strongest ideas from the print issue for social media. The Journal received a new, tailored visual identity, one that was ‘recognisably RSA’ but bold and individual. This new identity was evolved to bring assets to life for a digital-native audience with consistently fresh design ideas.

As part of our impactful social strategy, we produced and carefully planned the release of bespoke assets for LinkedIn, Instagram, X, Facebook, TikTok and YouTube, including long-form videos, carousels, animations and interactive graphics. To this end, we utilised A/B testing and analytics, allowing us to optimise content in real time and learn with each new post.

Our team interviewed Afua Hirsch, who was the cover star of 2025's Issue 3

We are incredibly proud of the range of work we have produced with the RSA Journal

At the heart of the transformation was RSA JOURNAL Presents, a dynamic video series distilling topics from each print edition into compelling visual narratives. The full-length videos are hosted on YouTube and then repurposed for shorter-form content for social channels, broadening reach without sacrificing substance.

We also created bespoke content assets for each Journal feature, multi-format visual content, platform-specific content strategies and rollouts, and scalable content systems to support future editions.

From print to social assets design and creation, we have worked in every corner of the RSA Journal's output

Impact

Together, these elements shifted the Journal from a static publication to a powerful digital storytelling tool, capable of shaping conversations and building community on a global scale.

The impact was transformative. Video views, impressions and engagement more than doubled, and in some cases tripled, with over one million impressions earned across platforms. Most notably, our video on Lewes FC, the first football club in the UK to pay its men’s and women’s teams equally, achieved 485,000 views in its first two months.

The results demonstrate not only reach and engagement increases, but the cross-platform appeal and overall success speak to strengthened brand presence and audience diversification.

The campaign successfully positioned the RSA as a global thought leader, increased Fellowship engagement, and created meaningful connections with a new generation of Fellows and potential Fellows.

We continue to deliver the Journal programme in partnership with the RSA, building on these brilliant foundations to continue to reach new audiences and engage the Fellowship.
